Marcus Thuram was stripped of an Inter scarf during his medical with the Nerazzurri on Tuesday, as the club don’t want new players to wear their colours before completing checks.

Thuram signed a contract until June 2028 on Tuesday after undergoing medical examinations with the Serie A giants.

The France international completed the second part of his checks at CONI in the afternoon and when he was about to enter the building, an ultras member put an Inter scarf around his neck.

However, it was quickly removed by a person, probably working for Inter, who looked extremely annoyed.

As explained by FCInterNews, it was a direct request from the club, which was valid not only for Thuram but any new signing.

Inter, in fact, don’t want incoming players to wear Nerazzurri colours before completing medical examinations.

Furthermore, they want to be the first ones to release images of players with black and blue colours, so Thuram only wore the club scarf for a few seconds before continuing his medical examination.

Inter are expected to announce his signing today, Wednesday, June 28.
