Multiple sources in Italy claim counter-analysis on Paul Pogba’s positive doping test will take place on October 5 rather than September 20 due to the player consultant’s unavailability.
The second test on Pogba’s positive sample had been booked for September 20, but according to ANSA and La Gazzetta dello Sport, the test’s date has now been changed to October 5.
The change is due to the unavailability of the player’s consultant on September 20, both media claim.
Pogba has been precautionarily suspended having failed a doping test on August 20 after Udinese–Juventus, a match he entirely spent on the bench.
Therefore, the Frenchman is now earning minimum wage, circa €2,000 per month as stated by the collective agreement. However, Juventus could terminate his contract if the second test comes back positive and the Frenchman is found guilty at a sporting trial.
The ex-Manchester United midfielder only played 213 minutes since his return as a free agent in Turin in 2022.
