Milan winger Alexis Saelemaekers scored one of the best goals of the season against Napoli on Sunday night and Twitter users have commented on jokingly comparing the Belgium international to Leo Messi.
Saelemaekers was introduced in the second half at the Stadio Maradona and contributed to Milan’s 4-0 victory with a stunning goal at minute 67.
The 23-year-old dribbled through three defenders and nutmegged Alex Meret for Milan’s fourth goal and sent Twitter into meltdown.
Saelemaekers is trending in Italy on Monday morning with many users comparing the Belgian winger to Leo Messi after his stunning strike.
It was even more impressive, considering that he had never scored for Milan in Serie A this season before Sunday night.
Saelemaekers has now scored three goals in 25 appearances across all competitions, having netted twice in the four Champions League games, against RB Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb, during the group phase.
