Pepe Reina’s agent has revealed that Napoli offered the Paris Saint-Germain target a contract that “was shorter and would see him earn less.”
Manuel Garcia Quillon confirmed Reina would not renew his deal with Napoli, amidst “real” interest from PSG, and he explained why the goalkeeper’s future lay away from the San Paolo.
“I can confirm there is real interest from PSG,” the representative told Radio Crc.

“Pepe and his family love Napoli and I must stress this, but the situation is complicated and it’s difficult for him to renew.
“I can say that 30, 40 days ago, the Azzurri [Napoli] offered Pepe a new contract, but one that was shorter and would see him earn less.”
