According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Victor Osimhen wants to play Champions League football next season, so he’s put Arsenal talks on hold.

The Nigeria international is one of the most exciting strikers in Serie A and Arsenal have sounded out his availability over the last few weeks. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, intermediaries have made contact with the striker’s agent as Osimehn is one of their primary targets for attack for 2022-23.

However, the striker won’t take a decision about his future before the end of the season. Osimhen wants to play Champions League football in 2022-23 and has put talks with the Gunners on hold. He hasn’t ruled out moving to the Emirates Stadium but wants to learn which European competition they’ll play next season.

The 23-year-old has scored 16 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions this season. Juventus‘ forward Alvaro Morata has also been linked with the Gunners. The Spaniard will likely return to Atletico Madrid in the summer after his two-year loan spell in Turin. Juventus have a €35m option to make his move permanent but will pay a maximum of €15m to sign him in the summer.
