Milan ultras in Curva Sud insulted Napoli winger Matteo Politano when the Italy international was introduced in the second half, not forgetting an obscene gesture the 30-year-old had made during a Serie A meeting last season.

Politano was initially benched by Walter Mazzarri at the Stadio Meazza but was introduced as a substitute during the break, replacing Leo Ostigard.

Milan ultras in Curva Sud immediately targeted the Italian winger with insulting chants, such as ‘Politano son of a b…’ remembering what the 30-year-old had done during a meeting at the Stadio Maradona last season.

It happened during Milan’s 4-0 victory in Serie A, a few days before a Champions League quarter-final clash against the Partenopei.

Politano’s obscene gesture was not forgotten by the Rossoneri ultras who insulted the Italy international with two or three chants after his introduction.

Milan had taken the lead in the first half with a Theo Hernandez goal.
