Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini’s contracts expire at the end of the season, but Milan have not yet begun negotiations with their directors as they are only focusing on the pitch.

The Rossoneri returned to greatness after Maldini’s return to the club two years ago. Many players signed with the Rossoneri thanks to the influence of the legendary defender. The most notable is undoubtedly Theo Hernandez who signed with Milan after meeting Maldini in Ibiza in the summer of 2019.

Maldini and Massara’s contracts will run out in the summer, but the club has not yet begun new contract talks to extend their stay. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, club directors are focusing on the team’s results on the pitch and are not thinking about anything else at the moment.

The Rossoneri are en route to qualify for the Champions League for the second season in a row and dream of winning their first Scudetto since 2011. They are the table leaders with a three-point lead over Napoli and four points more than Inter, who have a game in hand.

Massara and Maldini are unlikely to leave the club and will commit their future to Milan at the end of the season. Their stay at the club is not in doubt, but the Rossoneri’s priority lies somewhere else now.
