According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Stefano Pioli thinks Ante Rebic, Rafael Leao and Mario Mandzukic can provide enough cover in the attacking department.
The situation is different in midfield where Meite and Rade Krunic can play both in a two-man midfield or in the middle of the park with Sandro Tonali, Franck Kessié or Ismael Bennacer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Pioli wanted to have more cover in midfield and this convinced the Milan coach to drop Hauge.
The 21-year-old features in the Serie A list and is available for League games.
