Hirving Lozano has verbally agreed to join Los Angeles FC but his move from Napoli may be delayed, reports detail.

The 28-year-old Mexican winger has entered the last year of his contract with the Partenopei and is expected to leave the Campania capital this summer.

Lozano received interest from both Saudi Arabia and Mexico but turned down both ideas. The interest of LAFC proved far more interesting and he’s verbally agreed to a contract understood to be worth around €5.5m net per season.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, it’s now a race against time for Lozano to complete his move to LAFC, as the MLS transfer window officially closes on August 2.

The American side are now thinking about waiting until January to sign the 28-year-old winger, possibly allowing them to secure his signature at a lower cost.

In the meantime, Lozano’s entourage has arrived at the retreat in Castel di Sangro for a meeting with the club’s directors.
