Atalanta‘s Gewiss Stadium is being redeveloped, so its capacity has been reduced for 2023-24 and away fans, including Liverpool’s, have circa 700 tickets available for games in Bergamo.

Atalanta are carrying forward an ambitious plan to refurbish the Gewiss Stadium. This past June, the last phase started with the partial demolition of the Curva Sud Morosini.

The works are currently in the final phase, but the new Curva Morosini, a stadium section behind one of the two goals, will not be ready before the start of 2024-25.

The stadium’s capacity has been cut to circa 16,000 due to this season’s work, but for the next campaign, Atalanta fans will have 25,000 seats available for La Dea’s home matches.

The capacity of the away section in 2023-24 has also been reduced to approximately 700, so not many Liverpool fans will be able to buy tickets for the away game in Bergamo.

The first leg of the Europa League quarter-final will be played at Anfield on April 11, but the second leg will be at the Gewiss Stadium on April 18.
