Pierre Kalulu was involved in Milan’s training session as usual under Paulo Fonseca on Thursday, despite the fact that the Rossoneri made an agreement with Juventus for his transfer earlier in the week.

Juventus have agreed to take Kalulu on loan with an option to buy at a later date.

The Old Lady are expected to pay a fee of €3.5m to bring the Frenchman on board for the season, and will then have to pay a further €14m plus €3m in bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause if they wish to make the move permanent.

Why Kalulu is still training with Milan despite Juventus agreement

Even though the two clubs have agreed a fee and to the structure of the deal, Kalulu reportedly needed a couple of days to consider whether the move is the best step for his career and for his family.

According to Tuttosport and TMW, the 24-year-old wanted assurances from Juventus over the role that he would be expected to take on after the move.

Then, on Wednesday night, Kalulu got his wish and spoke with Thiago Motta over the phone. The Bianconeri coach was then able to put forward his vision for the new Juventus project.

TMW claim that Juventus hope to have the deal officially sealed by the weekend.

If that does turn out to be the case, then Kalulu would likely be eligible to be part of the matchday squad for Juve’s Serie A season opener against Como on Monday night.
