Aaron Ramsey and Arthur are not in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans at Juventus, but the Serie A giants will struggle to offload them for economic reasons.

Ramsey, 30, has played just 112 minutes across five games in all competitions this season, while Arthur struggled with playing times since his return from an injury.

The former Barcelona midfielder has only played 166 minutes (seven appearances) and spent the last four Serie A games on the bench.

Juventus are planning to sell both of them in January, but it will be a tough task for different reasons.

Ramsey is on a €7m-a-year deal until June 2023 and Football Italia understands he is not willing to end his contract by mutual agreement in January. Therefore, Juventus must find suitors willing to sign the Welshman offering him a similar salary.

Arthur doesn’t get as much as Ramsey, but Juventus need at least €50m from his sale to avoid a capital loss.

The Brazilian joined Juventus in a swap deal with Miralem Pjanic in 2020, but his transfer value registered in the balance sheet was €76m, so his amortized value in January will be around €50m.

Juventus have put many other players in the market, including Dejan Kulusevski, Weston McKennie and Federico Bernardeschi.

The Italian’s contract expires at the end of the season, so January will be Juventus’ last chance to get money from his sale if they fail to reach an agreement to extend his stay at the club.

  1. Why would they go to a club with a lower standing for less money? I knew Juve would come to regret signing Ramsey and Rabiot – they threw money at them because they were free transfers but they were free transfers for a reason. Ramsey is far too injury prone to be playing at the top level, Rabiot is brilliant but inconsistent and volatile.

  2. Putting Kulu and Weston on the market is a huge mistake.

Rabiot and Alex Sandro should be the ones leaving.

It’s really painful watching Sandro try to dribble or make a key pass. He diesn’t even run like a footballer. Always looks uncomfortable on the ball.

  3. Honestly, I’d give Arthur another chance. He deserves it. That being said, Ramsey needs to go asap. He may be a good player, but there’s no point in keeping him if he’s injured all the time. Next stop Newcastle, perhaps?

  4. They should stop contracting players who are not at all able to play on a high level….Rabiot, Ramsey, Arthur, De Ligt, McKennie (what a disaster – no idea who came up with him) etc…and change the defense since they are way too old and slow and the young one (De Ligt) is horrible and the worst purchase ever at Juve ..what a bad defender.

  5. @Ravanelli, I agree with everything you said.

I don’t understand Alex Sandro’s game. He used to be so exciting to watch but now his composure on the ball is terrible for a player of his stature, he does not move like a footballer. Pathetic to watch.

  6. It was the same with so many Juve players. High salaries and very hard to get rid of them.
I remember Higuain was 90 million! We couldnt sell him to anyone because he GOT worse and his wages were obscene. Ronaldo, well he went from 100 million to about 10 million. What a loss! Sami Khedira, always injured, impossible to sell.
    And now Ramsey and Arthur.

When will Juve learn? Buy YOUNG players with potential and dont sell them too fast and too cheap like they did with Cancelo , Spinazzola and Coman

  7. if someone was dumb enough to pay 24 million + Zaniolo for a 30 year old Nainggolan then anything is possible !

  8. Just like a club paying Ramsay 400K to sit at home and eat welsh rarebit all day. Got to hand it Ramsay he is one the smartest guys around in football. Get free money for doing nothing. What kind of club does allows that…🤣

  9. I like Arthur, he moves the ball well and commits opposition players. With a proper CDM beside or behind him he could be useful. I was hopeful for Ramsey but it didnt work out. Its all accounting, so we got him free-ish and pay him more as a result. To say it was a mistake to sign him is only for Mr Harry Hindsight. Anyone remember Ian Rush?

  10. Juventus have put many other players in the market, including Dejan Kulusevski, Weston McKennie and Federico Bernardeschi.” add Arthur and Ramsey and this pretty much is starting to sound like Juve’s entire midfield, lol. You need to throw Bentancur and Rabiot in this pile also as they have turned into some real garbage. Some of these players deservedly need to be shipped out but others actually have potential. When you talk out about the entire midfield needing to go though, this is really indicative that the real problem has been and continues to be the management and coach of this team.

  11. @I MISS ALESSIO SECCO AT JUVENTUS: it could be worse……imagine spending 115 million on 3 useless players like Joao Mario/Kondogbia and Gabi-one-Gol ……all 3 sold for minusvalenze! At least Ramsey came for free but he’s almost as bad as Sanchez and paid just as much – only Ramsey is younger.

  12. @I miss Marco Branca. Admit it, you’re a closet Inter fan. The dude knows more about Inter than his own team, Jube. It’s ok to come out. We won’t make fun of you. Let’s see Jube spent 90 mil on a 30 year old fat Higuain then, the most amount of money spent on a South American player at the time. Then a year later sent him on loan cause he sucks and no team wants him. Jube also spent $23 mil on Pjaca, who? Yeah exactly. That $113 mil down the drain. And don’t you forget about 40 millions on Bernadeschi lol 44 mil on Kulu lol no wonder they had to invent their book to make up for $200 mil on useless players.

They will never win anything in Europe again. They’re broke . But hey if you fans want to boast about coming second in so many tournaments then be my guest. What do they call the team that always comes second? Yeah the biggest losers

  13. Hey Branca, google in Secco uncovered as an Inter spy. 😂

Boumsong, Knezevic, Grygera, Mellberg, Molinaro you get the drift.🤣

1996, people were using dial up.

Young Chiesa would look great in black and blue. Remember Zlatan and Viera.

Karma now you will taste your own medicine. No CL for you next year.

  14. You tell them Interisti. I am sick and tired of the Juventus fans believing in their own hype. 7/9 CL defeats, 5 finals in a row and they wear it like a badge of honour.

  15. Dangerboy and Alessio Secco – Inter has just got out of the UCL group for the first time in 10 years – how’s that for a badge of honour. One star on Shinter shirts to Juve’s 3 – how’s that for a badge of honour. Owned by owners of an authoritarian regime that can’t even invest in the squad – great badge of honour. 3 UCL finals to Juve’s 9 – how’s that a badge of honour when progressing in the UCL is critical for its financial benefits. Go back to wire tapping your player’s phones and falsefying your players’ visas just like Recoba’s. Remember, Inter only succeeds when they depend on ex-Juve directors and Coaches running the club and only when Juve is down – which as we all know, is never too long.
