There is still an important detail yet to be resolved in the ongoing investigation into Juventus’ financial accounts as the club have requested to move any potential trial away from Turin and instead to either Milan or Rome.

On Monday morning it was confirmed that the preliminary hearing in the Prisma Investigation involving Juventus was postponed until May 10, 2023

The lawyers representing the Bianconeri in the case have already presented a request to the general prosecutors’ office to move the hearing to a different city.

As reported in Corriere dello Sport, Juve’s legal team believe they have grounds to move the case based on the location of some of the alleged wrongdoings.

It is said that some of the most serious allegations, such as false communications and the rigging and manipulation of the club’s finances would have taken place in Milan, where the stock exchange is based.

The intention behind potentially moving the trial to Rome is that the Capital is home to the data centre utilised by the Milan Stock Exchange.

On the other hand, prosecutors in Turin believe that any potential crimes that would have been committed from the Juventus headquarters fall under their own jurisdiction.

Maurizio Bellacosa, one of the lawyers representing the Old Lady recently told the press: “We are still in a phase where the parts involved are being identified.”

He continued: “It will be completed in the next hearing on May 10, and, if there is time, the preliminary hearing will immediately begin, also deciding on the territorial jurisdiction.”
