Juventus ultras in Curva Sud will remain silent for the last two home games of the season against Salernitana and Monza, and the reasons behind the protest have now been explained.

Juventus players won’t receive support from ultras in Curva Sud at the Allianz Stadium in their last two home games against Salernitana and Monza.

As explained in a statement by Juventus’ ultras, the reason behind the protest is that the club rejected many requests from organised groups of fans ‘which are the norm in almost every Italian and foreign stadium,’ the ultras explained.

However, as reported by Tuttosport ultras will also protest because some of their members have recently been sentenced in the ‘Last Banner’ trial. Back in 2019 several members of Juventus’ ultras groups had been arrested and accused of money laundering, violence and aggravated extortion in connection with ticket sales.

The ultras’ statement also included a sinister warning for Juventus players: “We have supported everyone despite knowing some misconducts of some of our footballers, who, off the pitch, tend not to behave as professional athletes. Even if you go far from Turin, there are things we come to know.”

Nevertheless, ultras clarified that they’ll keep supporting the team away, which includes next week’s Coppa Italia Final against Atalanta in Rome. Juventus’ last away game is against Bologna in the penultimate round.
