Gleison Bremer and Matthijs de Ligt have emerged as potential reinforcements for Manchester United in 2024-25, while Bayern Munich could replace the Dutch centre-back with Milan star Fikayo Tomori.

Calciomercato.com reports Juventus and Milan are directly concerned by Manchester United’s transfer strategies for next season.

Bremer is a Red Devils’ target for June, but Juventus won’t sell the Brazilian centre-back for less than €70m. Man United are also following Bremer’s predecessor in Turin, Matthijs de Ligt, who spent the most recent game against Bayer Leverkusen on the bench despite being fit to play.

According to the report, Bayern see Tomori as a potential replacement for De Ligt in the summer. The Dutchman is no longer a first choice for Thomas Tuchel, so if the German coach stays at the club beyond the summer, De Ligt will probably leave.

It remains to be seen if Manchester United will pick him or Bremer, a key player for Max Allegri, who could still leave in the summer to boost Juventus’ finances.

  1. De Ligt wasn’t even a first choice under Nagelsmann, and neither is under Tuchel, so long as Kim and Upamecano are available.
