Inter defender Milan Skriniar is edging closer to a move to Paris Saint-Germain and a key figure in the talks has turned out to be Achraf Hakimi.

The French giants have been in talks with the Nerazzurri for a little while now as they explore the costs of a deal for the 27-year-old Slovakian centre back, who seems destined to be sold this summer as the Milanese club work to generate some funds. Inter want €70m for Skriniar and PSG are slowly edging closer to this figure.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Skriniar has given the green light for a move to PSG this summer after speaking with former teammate Hakimi. The pair spoke on the phone and the Moroccan right back discussed the qualities of the project in Paris and his happiness in the French capital.

Skriniar was seemingly convinced by this call, although the €7m net per season salary that he’s expected to earn in Paris will also help sweeten the move.

Should PSG raise their offer a little more, a deal could be reached soon, giving Inter the resources to close out a number of deals.
