Roma star Paulo Dybala is unavailable for Roma against Monza due to a minor muscle problem.

The Argentina international started on the bench in Thursday’s 1-0 Europa League loss against Elfsborg but was introduced in the second half.

However, he sustained a minor muscle injury during a Saturday training session and was left out of the Giallorossi squad for a critical game against Monza.

Dybala is expected to be replaced by his compatriot Matias Soulé at the U-Power Stadium today.

Due to his latest injury, Dybala won’t travel to Argentina for the international break despite receiving a call-up from coach Lionel Scaloni.

Dybala, 30, has scored one goal in seven Roma appearances this season.

His contract expires in June 2025, but the agreement with the Giallorossi includes an option to extend for a further campaign if he makes a minimum number of appearances this term.

A former Juventus and Palermo star, Dybala has scored 124 goals in 329 Serie A games.
