According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Paulo Dybala could start on the bench against Hellas Verona on Sunday following his return from international duty.

The 28-year-old only played 21 minutes during Argentina’s last two games against Chile and Colombia and returned to Turin yesterday.

La Joya returned to group training today as confirmed by Juventus on their official website.

This means he will train with the team three times before Sunday’s match against Hellas Verona when Dusan Vlahovic will make his debut in a black and white shirt. According to Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper, Alvaro Morata will likely partner the Bianconeri newcomer.

February will be a crucial month for Dybala as Juventus chiefs will sit down with him over the next few weeks to begin negotiations for his contract extension.

According to multiple reports in Italy, the Old Lady will withdraw their €10m-a-year contract offer, putting a lower salary on the table.

It remains to be seen if Dybala will put pen to paper on a new agreement or decide to leave Turin as a free agent in the summer.

  1. I would be starting Dybala with Vlahovic. These two could be a magical pair. Morata seems to lift when he comes off the bench. The other thing too is that they want Dybala to show them more before the next contract meeting, but you can’t show much sitting on the bench.

  2. Frankie
Dybala returned from South America today, the game is in 2 days. He might not recover from jetlag. Furthermore, with new arrivals and some departures, Allegri will most likely introduce a new system This might take time for La Joya to learn and grt used to. No need to overwhelm the boy. I don’t think this has anything to do with his contract extension

  3. YO AMO A DYBALA Y DYBALA DEVE QUE ESTAR TITULAR YO NO CONFIO EN ELFICHAJE DE VLAHOVIC PERO VERE COMO ES SU DEBUT DEL 7
