As per La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, Donnarumma wants to make sure he will play the Champions League next season and for this reason, he’s put new contract talks on hold.

Donnarumma is on a € 6m-a-year deal at Milan and the Rossoneri’s last offer is €8m-a-year.

However, La Gazzetta points out many top clubs around Europe have already their starting goalkeeper and are not on the lookout for a new one, therefore Milan hope Donnarumma will eventually sign a contract extension.

The paper reports his agent Mino Raiola wants a €10m-a-year contract until 2023 and a release clause included in the agreement.

The Rossoneri are also considering possible replacements for Donnarumma who kept ten clean sheets in 38 games across all competitions with the Diavoli this season.
