Although Milan and Atalanta agreed a deal, Charles De Ketelaere still hasn’t completed his move across Lombardy, reports detail.

The Rossoneri agreed to the terms of a deal with Atalanta over a week ago, setting up a €3m loan deal with a €23m buy option attached, plus €4m in add-ons. A future resale clause has also been included.

Almost 10 days since the two clubs reached an agreement, De Ketelaere is seemingly no closer to completing the move to Atalanta and has continued training with his Milan teammates, leading to some fears amongst supporters that the deal could collapse.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, De Ketelaere’s entourage met with Atalanta’s directors yesterday to continue negotiations but no agreement was reached still, with the economics of the deal being the major sticking point.

La Dea aren’t willing to pay the request agent commissions and they also aren’t keen to match his salary demands; the player is asking for €3m net per season, whilst the club would prefer to pay €2.2m net.

Further talks will take place today. Atalanta had originally scheduled his medicals for this afternoon, but they’ve obviously been postponed as the two parties continue to discuss terms.
