The idea of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Serie A for Juventus, Napoli, Inter or Milan is not out of the question, as his agent asks Manchester United to extend his contract and let him leave on loan to play the Champions League.

The 37-year-old flew back to Manchester today and visited the Old Trafford training ground along with agent Jorge Mendes.

He had been training by himself abroad, waiting for Manchester United to sell him.

The meeting reportedly did not go well, with the Premier League side refusing to let Ronaldo leave on a permanent basis.

According to Spanish sources, Jorge Mendes suggested a counter-proposal, letting CR7 extend his contract until June 2024 so that he can be sent out on loan this season to a club in the Champions League.

Manchester United only qualified for the Europa League after a dismal Premier League campaign.

The Serie A clubs in the Champions League this season are Milan, Inter, Napoli and Ronaldo’s old haunt Juventus.

He was with the Bianconeri from 2018 to 2021, scoring 101 goals in 134 competitive appearances for the club.

  1. Take Juventus’ name out of this article he’s not coming back here and we don’t want him back. Plus Allegri never wanted him, Ronaldo and Dybala are 2 players Allegri had no problem leaving Juventus.

  2. Nonsense article. I didn’t come across any other reports that suggest his pushing for a move back to Serie A. Don’t draw conclusions on such tenuous threads. He’s got as much chance to come back to Italy as Salernitana have to win the scudetto this season.

  3. I really dont understand why so called Juve fans hate on ronaldo…..he scored 100 in 134 games best scorer in history how can you hate on him we all can see Juve without Ronaldo is nothing Sarri made them look much better and was champion but got sacked….unbelievable

  4. You never know with Inter. If Manchester pays his wages like Chelsea are doing with Lukaku anything is possible but this is fiction. Napoli do not have the appeal. Milan are looking to youth. He burnt his bridges with Juve. That only leaves Inter.

  5. Speaking only for myself, I don’t hate Ronaldo at all. He was tremendous for Juve but he does not fit the system that they are trying to build. I highly doubt he would go back to Italy anyway.

  6. Yes, nonsense article by FI which isn’t repeated anywhere else. As a Juve fan, I have no problem with Ronaldo…it was a bad project built around him which seemed to consist of buying a Martian, building nothing else around him and having Sarri play attacking football. It was the project, not the player, that unbalanced the team and now we’re correcting Paratici’s mess (with Agnelli’s blessing). Ronaldo with great service and a strong defence behind him wins CLs.

  7. Jeremy

Marotta strongly oposed his return + shInter don’t have money.

    mohammed

poor Haller just got diagnosed with cancer. If everything goes ok, he’ll be back no earlier than 6 months

  8. As long as he doesn’t come back to Juve.
He is without contest the biggest signing failure we have had in recent history.

Remember how many goals we scored before his arrival = easily 100+ seasons in a row
& when the team had to cater to him, we struggled to just mske 90+ goals a season.

He came to an absolutely well oiled machine & destroyed it completely (much like what has happened at Man U now)

    Ronaldo was the problem.
Not the coach or midfield, which worked perfectly before he came.

  9. The only comment above that is worthwhile is Arts. Bang on. 100 goals in 130 games and he was the problem? Absurd.

  10. No one in CL will take him.

Madrid needed to regenerate the squad= Ronaldo leaves.

Juventus needed to regenerate the squad = Ronaldo leaves.

Man U needed to regenerate= Ronaldo wants to leave.

Not saying he’s not a generational talent but it’s clear when his team isn’t walking to top 4, Cristiano can’t be bothered and wants to leave.
