Dusan Vlahovic is nowhere near signing a contract extension with Juventus and growing reports suggest Arsenal are still interested in the Serbia international with the Gunners who could offer Thomas Partey in a player-plus-cash swap deal.

Juventus are eager to extend Vlahovics contract beyond 2026, spreading his current €7m-a-year salary onto a longer deal. Nevertheless, the latest reports in Italy suggest the Serbian striker is unwilling to take a pay cut, so talks between the two parties have been put on hold.

Vlahovic has scored four goals in 10 Serie A appearances this season and Juventus will consider his sale in January or, more likely, at the end of the season if their star refuses to sign a new deal, reports Calciomercato.com.

The Express adds that Arsenal are still interested in the 23-year-old who snubbed a move to the Emirates Stadium in January 2022 joining Juventus instead. According to the report, Arsenal have an advantage over other clubs linked with the striker, including La Liga giants Real and Atletico Madrid, as they can offer Partey, a long-time Juventus target, in a player-plus-cash swap deal.

The Bianconeri are looking for midfielder reinforcements following Paul Pogba and Nicoló Fagioli’s suspensions, but it remains to be seen if they will be open to discussing a swap deal in the winter transfer window.
