Manchester United are expected to make a formal bid for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund with the striker’s agents having a crucial role in negotiations.

Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta confirm Hojlund is willing to join Manchester United this summer with his agents pushing to finalise the deal. The pink paper reported on Wednesday that Atalanta are unhappy with the behaviour of the player’s representative.

This past June, Hojlund signed a contract with SEG Group, who also represent Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag. This is why the strikers’ agents have an even more crucial role in negotiations between Atalanta and the Premier League giants.

However, La Dea are unwilling to part ways with Hojlund for less than €65-70m and will not accept a player-plus-cash swap deal.

Cody Gakpo, Sergio Gomez and Atalanta midfielder Marten de Roon are also among the clients of the Dutch group that has already reached an agreement with the Red Devils for Hojlund.
