Fabio Miretti has been awarded his first Juventus start for today’s match against Venezia, so who is the Italian teenager and why are so many fans excited?

Miretti began his career in the Bianconeri youth academy as a central midfielder, slowly working his way up the age categories. His breakthrough year came in the 2019-20 campaign, when he impressed as a trequartista; he would finish the season with 16 goals and six assists in 17 games.

The Italian teenager continued working hard and proving himself in the Primavera team, netting six goals and four assists in 28 appearances in the 2020-21 season. Moving up to the Under-23s, Miretti again continued to hit the mark, becoming a consistent part of a squad featuring in Serie C and the Youth League.

Miretti made his Champions League debut against Malmö earlier this year and many have started to draw comparisons with Claudio Marchisio, with the two having a fairly similar style of play. The Italian teenager will now be hoping to shine on his first start for the senior team, keen to repay Massimiliano Allegri’s trust.

8 thought on “Who is Juventus talent Fabio Miretti?”
  1. I hope he becomes a consistent and integral part of the team. It’s harder to do under Allegri who is against youth.

  2. if miretti can’t get physically better then he should try to have his vision and decision better, but that’s still a good start for 18 years old boy under the coach that really hates young bloods

Under allergi, dybala become giovinco and dusan become amauri
De ligt become ogbonna and locatelli like gianichedda

  3. You mean Dybala who scores 8 goals a season and wants 10 million for the privilege? No thanks. Bravo Miretti… It’s his time to shine. If the youth have talent (and aren’t injured), they’ll play with Allegri. It’ll be a different Juve next season and then all you trolls will crawl back under your bridges. Forza Juve!
