Slavko Vincic has been appointed for Tuesday’s Champions League game between Lazio and Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
UEFA have appointed Slovenian referee Vincic for a Champions League Round of 16 second leg between Lazio and Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Lazio beat the Bavarians 1-0 in the first leg at the Stadio Olimpico two weeks ago, thanks to a penalty kick converted by Italy international Ciro Immobile.
As reported by Cittaceleste, Vincic has already refereed three Lazio games in his career, always at the Stadio Olimpico. The 44-year-old was in charge when the Biancocelesti beat Steaua Bucarest 5-1 in February 2018 and the following season when Sevilla won 1-0 in Rome.
Vincic was also the referee of Lazio-Atletico Madrid in September 2023 when Maurizio Sarri’s side scored a late equaliser with goalkeeper Ivan Provedel.
Serie A clubs have collected five wins, seven draws and two defeats in 14 matches with Vincic in charge.
The Slovenian official will oversee a Bayern Munich game for the second time in his career after a 1-1 home draw against Villarreal in April 2022.
Tomaz Klancnik and Andraz Kovacic will be Vincic’s assistants in Bayern Munich-Lazio, while Matej Jug will be the fourth official, and Nejc Kajtazovic will be in charge of VAR.
