Milan have already suffered 25 injuries this season and only eight players out of 27 have not sustained physical problems this term.

Milan’s hopes to qualify for the Champions League Round of 16 are extremely reduced following a 3-1 loss against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. They must beat Newcastle away in two weeks and hope the Germans beat PSG at home.

The Rossoneri have also collected just one win in the last five Serie A matches but their ups and downs this season are not only related to technical and tactical aspects.

Milan have already suffered 25 injuries this season, the last being Malick Thiaw in the game against Borussia Dortmund.

The German defender left San Siro on crutches last night and is expected to remain out of action for several weeks.

Stefano Pioli admitted being ‘worried’ about the team’s fitness after the game and this is even more true when considering that just eight Milan players out of 27 have not sustained physical issues this term. As reported by Milannews’ correspondent Antonello Gioia, they are Antonio Mirante, Alessandro Florenzi, Fikayo Tomori, Yacine Adli, Tijjani Reijnders, Tommaso Pobega, Luka Romero and Olivier Giroud.

Milan will host Frosinone at San Siro this coming Saturday and will visit Atalanta on December 9 before the last Champions League group stage game against Newcastle on December 13.
