Antonio Conte has held a key transfer meeting with Tottenham directors, and some Serie A stars are among Spurs’ targets in January.

The former Inter and Juventus coach expects new signings in the winter transfer window and according to Marca.com, at least two of them come from Serie A.

However, it remains to be seen if Fabio Paratici will manage to meet Conte’s expectations in January when it’s always challenging to sign top players.

Multiple sources have mentioned Milan star Franck Kessié as Tottenham’s primary target in January. The Ivory Coast midfielder won’t sign a contract extension with the Rossoneri, but Milan are unwilling to sell him despite knowing they would earn nothing when the 24-year leaves at the end of the season.

According to Sportmediaset, Spurs offered their out-of-favour midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in a player-plus-cash swap deal to get Kessié, but Milan are not interested in the France midfielder.

According to Marca, Inter defender Stefan de Vrij is also on Conte’s radars. Conte trained De Vrij during his two-year spell with the Nerazzurri.

The defender’s contract at San Siro expires in June 2023 and the Serie A giants are not open to selling him in January. However, a deal is possible at the end of the season when the Dutchman will have only one year left in his contract.

Inter are in talks with Matthias Ginter, who would join the Serie A champions as a free agent in June and could potentially replace De Vrij whose agent Mino Raiola has reportedly been pushing for a move to the Premier League for a few months.

Juventus’ Dejan Kulusevski was a possible target for Spurs, but Juventus are now unwilling to sell as Federico Chiesa has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Fiorentina‘s Dusan Vlahovic is also unlikely to leave in January.

According to Marca, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Adama Traore is on Tottenham’s shortlist for January, while Conte expects Hugo Lloris to extend his expiring contract with the club.

  1. What Conte wants and what Levy will sign are two completely different things. Conte will want quality and Levy only buys cheap with the very odd exception, and then his buys are poor to say the least. Levy and Lewis OUT !!

  2. Can we get more talk about the Premier League on here please???…We can start calling it Football Italia with a hint of English.

  3. Just shows what a clown show Roma are.

    – Conte has no time for Ndombele because he cannot grasp tactics to save his life. Made abundantly clear by Conte that Ndombele needed to improve his knowledge of the game. Still nothing. Thick head.

Milan was offered him and a firm Hell Nah. Which is saying something from Maldini.

Roma and Mou? Well, Come on in!

I know Spurs fans. They think he’s been the biggest bust for the last 3 years. Yet Mourinho brings him to Roma? He was horrible under Mourinho at Spurs! He is turning Roma into a dumping ground of mediocrity.

This is going to end real bad.

Even though I’m a Juve fan and was delighted with the Win on Sunday, I felt bad for the 2 Romans on the team, Cristante and Pellegrini. Cristante was destroyed at the Loss.

There is something to be said when you get hometown playera to wear your colours. It means more to them.

The self-proclaimed Special One should know better.

He’s probably bringing him over to find out any gossip on Conte.
