Inter looked at two defenders during EURO 2024

The Nerazzurri have reportedly identified two other defenders as alternatives to Hermoso, namely Austria’s Kevin Danso, who plays his club football for Ligue 1 side Lens, and Slovenia’s Jaka Bijol, who is currently playing in Serie A with Udinese.

Both are still under contract with their current clubs, so would cost significantly more than Hermoso to bring on board for the 2024-25 campaign.

Danso is valued in the region of €35m by Lens, according to Sport Mediaset, and while Bijol should cost less than half that price, it will still take an offer of around €15m to lure him away from Udine.

As Inter have already agreed deals for free agents Piotr Zielisnki in midfield and Mehdi Taremi in attack, a defensive addition is understood to be the club’s current priority.

Piero Ausilio recently admitted that the Nerazzurri would ideally like a left-sided centre-back, but it is understood that they will take their time over the next few weeks to decide upon their best option,
