Only seven members of Milan’s squad of 27 have managed to avoid picking up injuries so far in the 2023-24 season according to recent research.

In fact, the Rossoneri have already accumulated 29 different injuries by December, a large portion of which have been muscular issues.

According to information put together by Antonelli Gioia of TMW and Milannews.it, only seven players have remained available all season. Those players are 40-year-old goalkeeper Antonio Mirante, defenders Alessandro Florenzi and Fikayo Tomori, midfielders Yacine Adli, Tijjani Reijnders and Luka Romero, and the ever-reliable Olivier Giroud.

Reijnders and Romero are the only representatives from Milan’s summer signing spree who have avoided time in the medical room this season, as the likes of Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze have all had various issues since sealing their San Siro switches.

Despite their injury woes, Milan have been able to keep themselves in the top four positions in Serie A, currently sitting in third, five points shy of Juve above them and four clear of Bologna in fourth.

The Rossoneri were, however, eliminated from the Champions League after finishing third in a group that also contained Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle, and will now face Stade Rennais in the Europa League knock-out round play-off.
