Inter are celebrating their Serie A and Coppa Italia double on Sunday, but some of the Nerazzurri squad may have played their final matches at San Siro. Here is a look at those who could leave and those who are guaranteed to stay for 2026-27.
It has been a day of festivities for the Cristian Chivu and his players, who played out a 1-1 draw in a dead rubber against the already-relegated Hellas Verona, before being presented with their Serie A trophy and embarking on an open-top bus parade through the city of Milan.

Which Inter players have played their final matches at San Siro?
A number of Inter’s veteran squad members are expected to depart once their contracts expire on June 30.
They include 37-year-old goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who has made 139 competitive appearances for the Nerazzurri over the last three seasons, including 100 in Serie A.
Defenders Matteo Darmian (36), Francesco Acerbi (38) and Stefan De Vrij (34) will also be out of contract at the end of June and are not expected to stay with the club for 2025-26.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan turned 37 in January, but he has not yet decided on his future. The club have made it clear that the decision lies with the Armenian himself, but he admitted after full-time against Verona that he has still not quite decided whether to retire or to continue for another year.
“I haven’t decided what I’ll do yet,” Mkhitaryan explained to DAZN. “I will talk to the club over the next few days and I will make my assessments. I will decide whether to continue or retire.”
Denzel Dumfries has a release clause in his contract, so there is a possibility that he is sold during the summer transfer window, but it remains to be seen whether that release clause will be triggered.
There had been reports that Alessandro Bastoni was destined for a move to Barcelona at the end of the 2025-26 season, but those links have since cooled off and the Italy international seems inclined to stay.
Davide Frattesi, meanwhile, has not had the minutes he would have been hoping for this season: Just 552 minutes from 22 Serie A outings this term and only three starts in the league this season. It would not be surprising if he is moved on during the window.
Elsewhere, it is a fairly settled squad, particularly in attack. Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram and Pio Esposito all seem destined to stay.
In midfield, Nicolo Barella seems settled, as do Petar Sucic and Piotr Zielinski, and despite previous links to Galatasaray, Hakan Calhanoglu has made it clear that he never had any intention to leave the club either.
