Sky Sport Italia have compared Lautaro Martinez’s stats at Inter with those of legendary Nerazzurri strikers and only Christian Vieri and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have a better minute-per-goal ratio.
Lautaro Martinez has scored one goal every 85 minutes played in Serie A this season and is the current Capocannoniere with 18 goals in 18 matches.
He scored a brace in Inter’s 5-1 win over Monza on Saturday night, cementing his place as the best striker in the league in 2023-24.
Sky Sport Italia have compared his stats with those of great Inter strikers from the past, including Vieri, Milito and Mauro Icardi.
Lautaro has the third-best minute-to-goal ratio, scoring one goal every 131 minutes across all competitions since joining Inter in 2018. The Argentina international has found the net in 77 games, 40% of his appearances with the Nerazzurri. Only Zlatan Ibrahimovic (50%) and Vieri (55%) have more.
It emerges that Lautaro has better stats than his compatriots Icardi, Milito and Hernan Crespo and ex-Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o.
However, according to Inter legend Beppe Bergomi, Milito is the best striker in the club’s history as he contributed to Inter’s legendary treble in 2009-10. The Argentinean is followed by Lautaro and Vieri, according to the ex-defender.
As per former Milan star Alessandro Costacurta, Vieri remains the best Inter forward in Inter’s history.
