Inter will likely make Joaquin Correa’s move permanent next month, as soon as they earn one point after February 2.

The Argentinean striker joined the Nerazzurri on an initial loan deal with an option to buy in the summer.

He was one of the two signings completed by the Serie A giants after the sale of Romelu Lukaku.

The agreement between Inter and Lazio came with an option to sign Correa permanently after Inter’s first draw from February 2.

Inter paid €5m for the striker’s loan and will make his move permanent for a further €25m.

Correa, 27, has scored four goals in 13 Serie A games so far this season and the Nerazzurri are ready to make his move permanent in less than a month.

He has signed a contract until June 2024 and will soon complete his permanent move to San Siro.

Correa was linked with Arsenal and Everton in the summer but has revealed Inter have always been his No.1 option also because he would reunite with his former coach Simone Inzaghi who also switched Lazio with the Serie A champions in the summer.

  1. Complete waste of money for a club like inter.

He is far from good enough to be a starter for a top club and paying 30m for a backup is not very clever for a club like inter injury that doesn’t exactly have much money to throw around in the market currently.
