Federico Chiesa has been reassured that he hasn’t suffered a severe knee injury, so he will soon return to action, but the player and coach Massimiliano Allegri will decide whether against Hellas Verona or Inter, reports Gazzetta.

Chiesa visited knee specialist Christian Fink in Austria on Monday after suffering an injury in the latest Serie A match with Inter at San Siro.

Having recently returned from an ACL injury, the Italy international appeared to be quite apprehensive so he travelled to Innsbruck, although exams in Turin had highlighted no lesion in his right knee.

Juventus train at Continassa today and Allegri will receive updates from Chiesa, making his assessment on when he will return to action.

According to Gazzetta, it’s still unsure that the attacking winger will be available against Hellas Verona over the weekend.

However, if the ex-Fiorentina star is precautionarily rested in the next Serie A match, he will make his comeback against Inter on Tuesday, April 4, in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semis in Turin.

Chiesa has scored two goals in 17 appearances with Juventus this season and apologised to the Old Lady’s supporters against Freiburg for not always being fully fit this season, hence unable to help the team consistently.
