In a rare show of planning and organisation, the Lega Serie A have revealed when we’ll know the precise dates and kick-off times of the matches this season.

The 2022-23 fixture list was drawn up today and you can see the whole thing here.

These are only the weekends of the games, but the precise dates and kick-off times are a little harder to pin down, as they also depend on calculating television pay-per-view rights, Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and Coppa Italia fixtures.

Unusually, the Lega Serie A have released a statement giving fans an idea of when they will be able to know those dates and therefore plan ahead for potential trips to the stadium.

On June 30, we will have a clear idea of the opening five rounds of the season, which run from August 13 to September 4.

After that, August 30 will see the fixtures for Week 6 to 16 outlined, as the UEFA calendar will have been drawn up by then.

When it comes to Week 17 to 21, we’ll have to wait until October 24 to get those dates.

From November 10, Serie A will clarify the Week 22 to 29 kick-off days and times.

There is a large gap for the 2022 World Cup, but from March 21 the Week 30-34 fixtures will be confirmed.

It gets a little more ad-hoc towards the end, with the Week 35-37 kick-off times not confirmed until April 28 and the final round – depending on which targets are still up for grabs – not locked down until May 29.

That is just six days before the end of the season.
