Roma are close to agreeing a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for the services of midfielder Renato Sanches after the player reportedly signed off on personal terms with the Giallorossi on Thursday.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato.com, the Portuguese international will reportedly join Roma on an initial loan for a fee of €1.5m with the option of making the move permanent for €12.5m. PSG would reportedly like to set the fee at a figure closer to €15m.
Sanches will earn a €5.5m salary, a significant portion of which will be paid by PSG, as happened with Georginio Wijnaldum last season.
Calciomercato now reports that an official agreement between Roma and PSG is approaching and could be reached as early as Friday evening.
Sanches is currently away with PSG on their pre-season tour of Japan and if a deal were to be reached, he would fly to Rome for medicals upon the squad’s return to Europe.
PSG are scheduled to play Inter on August 1 and will presumably fly home shortly afterwards.
