Milan have been without Alessandro Florenzi since the start of September and they’ll have to wait a little while longer to see him back on the pitch.

The 31-year-old Italian right back joined the club in a permanent transfer from Roma in the summer following a successful year on loan. During the Rossoneri’s Scudetto run, Florenzi scored two goals in 24 Serie A matches under Stefano Pioli, proving himself a useful rotation option. His second season in Lombardy has been derailed by a hamstring injury.

As reported by Tuttosport, Florenzi underwent surgery on the proximal hamstring tendon in his left thigh in the early stages of September, an operation that takes around five months to recover from.

Milan can’t hope to see the 31-year-old on the pitch until February at the earliest, with the player aiming to be fit enough to join the squad for the Champions League Round of 16 game against Tottenham on February 14.

  1. why would you need him when you have kulu, yes kulu best position is cb, but florenzi is poor, can get way better than him

  2. florenzi is a moderate player who only has one good game out of 10, ACM have not missed him
i’m surprised they extended his contract
