According to Tuttosport, Milan could announce Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return at the end of the month, once and if club owner Gerry Cardinale returns to Italy for a key Champions League fixture against Borussia Dortmund.

Ibrahimovic has been in talks with Cardinale and Giorgio Furlani for several months, discussing a potential return to the club after retiring from football this past June.

Monday’s printed edition of Tuttosport on page 28 claims an official announcement was expected during the current international break, but Ibra’s latest interview with Sky Sport Italia suggested the two parties haven’t yet reached a full agreement.

The Turin-based paper reports there is still no certainty regarding the date of Milan’s official announcement although Cardinale’s potential return to Italy before the end of November would offer the Rossoneri the chance to confirm Ibrahimovic’s comeback.

Cardinale could return to Milan on November 28 to watch a key Champions League fixture between the Rossoneri and Borussia Dortmund at San Siro. It will be a must-win match for Stefano Pioli’s men who beat PSG in their latest European fixture, but remain third in Group F, one point below the Ligue1 giants and two below the Germans.
