Wanda Nara announced she split up from Mauro Icardi, and we look back to when Maxi Lopez refused the Inter captain’s handshake.
Icardi and Wanda got married in 2014, one year after the Argentinean showgirl had split up from Maxi Lopez, who used to be a close friend of ‘Maurito.’
Their first meeting on the pitch, a Serie A clash between Sampdoria at Inter at Marassi in April 2014, saw Icardi score twice in the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 win, while Maxi Lopez missed a penalty.
The dispute between the pair had begun even before kick-off as Maxi Lopez refused Icardi’s handshake prior to the beginning of the match.
There was a similar incident a couple of years later when Maxi managed to get his revenge on the pitch.
It was April 2016 when his Torino side beat Inter 2-1 at San Siro and Maxi Lopez refused to salute his compatriot again, this time after the game.
“Somebody is ignorant,” Icardi said after the match when asked his thoughts on Maxi Lopez’s gesture.
