Leeds United defender Diego Llorente is set to undergo his medical with Roma and will arrive at Fiumicino Airport today at 17.30 local time, reports in Italy claim.

The Giallorossi have secured a deal to sign the 29-year-old on loan with an option to buy, replacing Matias Vina, who will join Bournemouth.

It was a quick negotiation, finalised in the last few hours. The Spanish full-back has reached an agreement with José Mourinho’s side and multiple reports in Italy claim the ex-Malaga and Real Sociedad defender will land at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport today, Monday, January 30, at 17.30 local time, 16.30 GMT.

He will likely undergo his medical with the Giallorossi on Tuesday, January 31, before signing his contract with the Serie A side.

Llorente has played 13 games with Leeds this season and his contract at Elland Road expires in June 2026.

Roma lost 2-1 against Serie A leaders Napoli on Sunday, but are just one point below a Champions League placement.
