Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Milan are just one point away from becoming Serie A champions and the Swede has already decided the title race on the final matchday, but when he was playing for Inter.

The 40-year-old could win the fifth Serie A title in his career on Sunday when Milan visit Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium. Stefano Pioli’s men need a win or a draw to become Serie A champions for the first time in 11 years. The last time they won the title, Ibra was part of the team and Max Allegri was in charge of the Rossoneri.

The Swede has already been decisive for a Serie A title on the final matchday, but he was playing for Inter at that time. It was the last game of the 2007-08 season and only one point separated table leaders Inter from second-placed Roma.

Ibrahimovic wasn’t 100% fit, so he started the final away game at Parma on the bench. The first half ended 0-0 while Roma were 1-0 up at Catania, so they were virtually Serie A champions.

However, Mancio introduced Ibra in the second half and the striker scored a vital brace, helping the Nerazzurri lift the 16th title in their history. Ibrahimovic left the club after winning his third successive Serie A title with the Nerazzurri in 2008-09. He returned to Serie A after just one season in Barcelona, joining Milan, where he won the Serie A title in his first season at the club.
