Doubts are circulating around Federico Chiesa and his future at Juventus, and a new meeting between the two parties will take place soon.

The 26-year-old Italian winger has just 12 months left on his contract in Turin and the club don’t want to leave the situation unresolved heading into the new season, keen for a definitive solution to be found soon in order to avoid the possibility of losing him on a free transfer next year.

Chiesa has made his desire to stay with Juventus clear, but reports have suggested that imminent coach Thiago Motta isn’t particularly enamoured by the former Fiorentina winger, shrouding his future in the Piedmont capital in doubt.

Chiesa situation

Page two of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Enrico Chiesa, father of the Juventus star, met with club directors Cristiano Giuntoli, Francesco Calvo and Gianluca Pessotto during a Lega Pro event in Milan on Monday night, where the winger’s future was discussed.

The elder Chiesa made it clear that his son wants to move forward in Turin and is open to signing a one-year contract extension to June 2026 at the current wages he earns now, taking some of the pressure off the Old Lady.

Juventus want to wait until the official arrival of Thiago Motta before their definitive meeting with the 26-year-old’s agent Fali Ramadani, with much depending on the Italian-Brazilian coach’s position on the forward.
