In six weeks, Roberto Gagliardini’s contract will expire with Inter and multiple clubs have emerged to register their interest in the 29-year-old.

The Italian midfielder has struggled for consistent playing time since the arrival of Simone Inzaghi in 2021, only seeing 786 minutes of action across all competitions last season and 941 this campaign, something he shared his frustration over back in January.

Having arrived at Inter in January 2017, Gagliardini is now ready to close a six-year spell with the club next month, pushing him to find a new club. In January, he was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, but there are also multiple options in Serie A.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Lazio and Monza have both emerged to register their interest in Gagliardini, keen to pick him up on a free transfer, but a return to Atalanta could also be on the cards.

A youth product of La Dea, the Italian midfielder would be happy to return to Bergamo but much depends on the contract offer he receives. The two parties will meet in the near future to discuss a possible deal.

  1. Hopefully an investigation for that deliberate red card in the 1st half – betting scheme?
