The Friuli striker has scored seven goals in 15 Serie A games this term and was on target against Milan on Sunday too.
But Gabriele Cioffi didn’t start with a win against the Rossoneri, as 40-year-old Zlatan grabbed the equaliser in stoppages for the visitors.
“Against Milan, I was excited because I played against Zlatan Ibrahimovic,” Beto told the club’s official channel.
“He told me: ‘Keep it up, you are strong’. I said: ‘Thank you, this moment is a dream for me’.
“I didn’t exchange the shirt with him because everyone wanted it, I was only able to snap a photo.”
Beto joined Udinese on loan from Portimonense in August with an obligation to buy with conditions.
The 23-year-old has impressed during his time with the Friuli and hopes to help the club reach safety under Cioffi.
“I ask the fans to believe in us. We want to save ourselves,” he said. “We play one half well and one less well. Against Milan we saw the desire to win because we know we are a strong team.”
