Victor Osimhen now looks set to stay at Napoli following Al-Hilal’s low bid and he’s made his demands for a new contract clear, il Mattino details.

The 24-year-old Nigerian striker only has two years left on his contract in the Campania capital and it’s no secret that both parties are keen to set up a new deal before the start of the new season.

Al-Hilal have been interested in picking up Osimhen for a while now but despite their lucrative salary offers to the striker, their bids to Napoli have been far lower than expected, making a move to the Middle East unlikely at this stage.

As detailed by Il Mattino via Calciomercato.com, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda is working hard to find an agreement with Napoli and the demands for a new deal have already been laid out.

The striker wants a salary of around €12m net per season and ownership of his image rights, whilst the club have proposed wages of just under €10m between the fixed fee, add-ons and image rights.

Another key aspect where an agreement must be found is the release clause; Osimhen and his entourage are hoping for this to be set at €110m, but Aurelio De Laurentiis would prefer a higher fee of around €150m. A separate release clause for Saudi clubs could also be included.
