Wojciech Szczesny is now available as a free agent after reaching a mutual agreement with Juventus to terminate his contract on Wednesday, but the Poland international’s next steps are still up in the air.

Szczesny: Monza, Saudi Arabia, early retirement?

The 34-year-old, whose contract with Juventus had been due to expire next summer, has been the subject of interest from both Serie A side Monza and Al-Nassr of the Saudi Pro League at various stages of the transfer window.

Neither club were able to come to an agreement with the Old Lady over a fee, though.

While those two clubs could still return to Szczesny with a new offer now that he is available on the free agent market, there is no guarantee either way.

If the former Arsenal and Roma goalkeeper does not receive an offer that excites and motivates him, then he could start considering the idea of an early retirement, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.
