Lazio are reportedly closing in on a deal for Armand Lauriente from recently-relegated Sassuolo, but they have not yet come to a full agreement with the Nerovedri over a transfer fee, reports detail.

Lazio close to Lauriente, but no agreement with Sassuolo

According to Sunday’s reports from Corriere dello Sport, Lazio have a basic agreement in principle over personal terms with Lauriente, but there is still a difference of about €5m between Sassuolo’s valuation and the current Biancocelesti budget.

Sassuolo hope to raise around €15m through the sale of the former Lorient winger, while Lazio’s budget for a new attacker stands at around €10m.

President Claudio Lotito is reportedly able to add an extra million or two onto the offer if required, but the club remain confident that Sassuolo need to sell and will therefore lower their asking price in due course.

Lauriente is also subject to interest from newly-promoted Parma, as well as Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig, Corriere dello Sport add.

Lazio, meanwhile, are also considering a move for 20-year-old Viktor Djukanovic from Swedish side Hammarby IF, and he is expected to cost somewhere in the region of €5m.
