Francesco Calzona is under contract at Napoli until the end of the season and if the Partenopei want to keep the Italian tactician beyond June, they’ll have to reach an agreement with the Slovakian Federation, reports Matteo Moretto.

Calzona was hired by Napoli in February, signing a contract until the end of the season.

Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto has told Caught Offside that Calzona does not have a release clause in his contract with Slovakia, so if Napoli want to keep the 55-year-old in 2024-25, they must negotiate with the federation.

Moretto says Napoli are happy with Calzona’s work, but they may choose a different coach at the end of the season.

Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano is one of those watched by the Partenopei. Surely, Aurelio De Laurentiis will go for a manager with an attacking style. As of today, Napoli have not made any decision regarding their coach for 2024-25.
