José Mourinho reportedly stared at Juventus‘ Curva Sud many times during the teams’ warmup on Saturday and congratulated the Bianconeri after the final whistle, saying that ‘even the stadium’ is educated to a winning mentality.

It is no secret that Mourinho, a former Inter coach and a 2010 treble winner with the Nerazzurri, is one of the biggest ‘enemies’ of Juventus fans. Nevertheless, the Portuguese coach showed the utmost respect for the Bianconeri before and after a Saturday meeting at the Allianz Stadium.

Mourinho praised Juventus and their coach Massimiliano Allegri during a pre-match press conference on Friday and did more on the game day.

As reported by Ilbianconero.com, the Special One initially seemed to challenge Juventus supporters from the centre of the pitch by staring at the Curva Sud multiple times during the warmup. He even approached the sector populated by Juventus ultras at some point but he did so only to greet a Max Allegri staff member and chat with Mattia Perin.

Roma eventually lost 1-0 in Turin on Saturday and the Special One congratulated his opponents during his post-match press conference.

“There is a wall in Turin, and even the stadium is educated about this. They play to win, and if they have to sit deep, there is no problem because they have to win. They even have joy while they do it,” Mourinho told reporters before returning to the capital.
