The Spaniard opened the account in the first half at the Ciro Virgorito on Saturday but Filippo Inzaghi’s side scored the equalizer shortly before the half-time whistle through a Gaetano Letizia’s goal.

Juventus pushed ahead to take a new lead in the second half and Morata appealed for a penalty kick in the final minute.

Fabrizio Pasqua didn’t awarc the penalty and sent off Morata who, according to Sky Sport, told him: “That was an embarrassing penalty.”

Morata will now serve at least a one-match ban that will surely force him to miss next weekend’s Torino derby against the Granata at the Allianz Stadium.
