Arkadiusz Milik took to Instagram to share his thoughts on Sunday night after missing a penalty in the first half of Juventus’ eventual 1-1 draw with Bologna at the Dall’Ara.

In the absence of Dusan Vlahovic, Moise Kean and Angel Di Maria, Milik was given the nod to lead the line for Juve by Massimilano Allegri.

The Polish international had his bluff called by Bologna ‘keeper and colleague from the national team Lukasz Skorupski, as he hopped and skipped in his run-up, only for the eventual shot to roll tamely into the arms of the Rossoblu stopper.

Milik atoned for his errors in the second half, latching onto a loose ball in the area before hammering home into the far corner of the Bologna net.

Despite missing the chance to potentially claim all three points for Allegri’s side, Milik’s spirit was not deterred as he issued a positive statement on social media in the hours after the final whistle.

Along with three pictures of his celebration after finding the equaliser, Milik commented: “You can make mistakes but the important thing is to never give up, this is the right spirit to try to achieve our goals… Come on Juve.”

Milik is now up to nine goals for the season from a total of 32 appearances across all competitions. Seven of those goals have come in Serie A.
